I Wonder...

If prophet Muhammad (sallallahu` alaihi wa sallaam).  visited you just for a day or two,
If he came unexpectedly I wonder what you would do.

Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room
To such an honoured guest,
And all the food you'd serve him would be the very best,

And you would keep assuring him,
Your glad to have him there,
That serving him in your home,
Is joy beyond compare.

But... when you saw him coming,
Would you meet him at the doorWould you meet him at the door,
With arms outstretched to your visitor?
Or... would you have to change your clothes before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put the Qur'an where they had been?

Would you still watch the same movies
On your T.V set?
Or would you switch it off
Before he got upset?

Would you turn off the radio
And hope he hadn't heard?
Or wish you hadn't uttered that last hasty word?

Would you hide all your worldly music,
And instead take hadith books out?
Could you let him walk right in,
Or would you have to rush about?

And I wonder if the prophet spent
A day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing,
The things you always doWould you go on saying,

The things you always say?

Would life for you continue,

As it does from day to day?

Would your family squabbles,
Keep up their usual pace,
And would you find it hard each meal

To say a table grace?
Would you keep up each and every prayer
Without putting on a frown?
And would you always jump up early
For prayer at dawn?

Would you sing the songs you always sing?

And read the books you read?
And let him know the things on which,
Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the prophet with you
Everywhere you plan to go?
Or, would you maybe change your plans,
Just for a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet
Your very closest friends?
Or, would you hope they stay away
Until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay

Forever on and on...
Or would you sigh with great relief
When he at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know,
The things that you would do...
If prophet Muhammad, (sallallahu` alaihi wa sallaam).  in person,
Came to spend some time with you

This poem ask you if prophet Muhammad came to visit you for a day would you act the same or be yourself .

Summer 2010 :)

Cardigans - Buy them oversized and you tick 3 boxes: modesty, aeration and the oversized look is still very on trend. You can pretty much find these in all highstreet shops like Primark, H&M and Dorothy Perkins.

Denim jackets and blazers - Denim jackets have always been a summer classic and blazers look great with lots of different styles. Blazers look particulary nice with oversized tees, here's a look to give to an idea:

colors - i love summer colors such as gold

thong sandals- i love them . usually sister don't wear there feet out but you can still wear thong sandals with pair of thin black socks and it still would look cutee.

GYSPE SKIRTS- so in i just love the  and flawness you get out these wonderful skirts i will be wearing a alot of these this summer : )

DONT
- ..wear more than one scarf or choose think scarves and avoid an undercap where possible
- ..pin your hijab unnecessarily, let it be a bit loose (but still covered, obviously..) so air can get to your neck
- ..wear skinny jeans: they are hot and look weird with a headscarf anyway

Accessorize, glamorize, hijab..ize

love jewelry and accessories and if you ask me, hijabis can't be beaten at accessorising simply because a scarf is, in fashion, an accessory and so are hijab pins and under caps etc. Obviously the main reason isn't to accessorise but that's no reason not to use the idea anyway :D Here are some of my fave ways to accessorise, hijab style and not a plain black hijab in site:

Layering
I love layering clothes, so why should a hijab be any different?

Beads

..are a girls best friend. Especially if they are on a non-tacky looking (i.e. not shiny) long necklace that can
that can poke out from under your hijab

Earrings

OK, maybe not an everyday thing but they look nice on occasion. still very stylish

Shades..oh so obvious!
Under caps

My favorite section! Under caps can completely transform the look of a hijab, they are like the hijab equivalent to cardigans..well in my mind anyway :):

well i hope i have help some of you out for the summer trends please leave a comment about waht you think about the outfits i made above and any more summer tips please tell me i would love to hear some of them.

what does islam mean to you ?

Assalaamu-alaikum,

Islam is, to me, a solution to all my problems and a solution to all of your problems. Whatever the nature of the problems that you face Islam has a solution. This is because Islam is more than just spiritual, it is practical. Islam is a complete system of life. Islam has a financial system, an education system, a government system and a legal system. And then again it has a social system and it also covers the spiritual aspects of your life. This system of Islam is the best possible system for us since it has been designed by Allah, our Creator, and since He created us He knows best what is good for us and what is bad for us and what is the ideal system for us to live our lives under. It is only this system of Islam that can comprehensively solve the problems of the world e.g. famine, homelessness, crime, oppression and brutality.

Life is short, as you know, so are some people. But seriously, I must not digress. We must think ISLAM, breathe ISLAM, act ISLAM and live ISLAM. ALLAH AKBAR. May your deen be with you at all times and may you think of your death 20 times a day - so that you stop any bad actions and remember that every second you live is a second closer to ALLAH (subhanahu wa' ta'ala)

Islam is submission to Allah. This submission begins in the Name of Allah, The compasionate, the merciful. Compassion which is a condition of the heart is inseperable from mercy which is anact of compassion. The First verse that follows will be the praise and thanks to Allah, which willbe grasped throughout the message of the Quran, in every condition. Islam means Submission to God, Islam means peace, Islam means tolerance islam means alot of things.

i want all my readers to think about what islam means to you and come back and leave a comment telling me what does islam mean to you i would love to hear from you.

with much love

khadijah.

Are you trustworthy and honest ?

When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (the Day of Judgment). These are the words of Prophet Muhammad. They paint a picture of the time leading up to the Day of Judgement, when righteous people will be sorrowful due to the lack of honesty around them. In the 21st century, we live in a world where honesty is valued and yet shunned at the same time. We expect people to be honest in their dealings with us yet we watch and applaud television shows and movies that promote and encourage lying and deceitfulness.

When we refuse invitations and pretend we are busy, this is lying. We admonish our children for lying, yet the reality is we have been their teachers. Whether we tell lies, or whether we allow our children to live in a world surrounded by deceit, the lesson is learned and the honesty begins to disappear from the hearts of the next generation.

Honesty incorporates the concepts of truthfulness and reliability and it resides in all human thought, words, actions and relationships. It is more than just accuracy; it is more than just truthfulness, it denotes integrity or moral soundness. Islam commands truthfulness and forbids lying. God commands that a Muslim be honest

“O you who believe! Fear God, and be with those who are true (in word and deeds).” (Quran 9:119)

“Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. In addition, a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to wickedness and evil-doing, and wickedness leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before God, as a liar”
Allah forbids all unclean and corrupt means of making money, such as, dishonest trading, gambling, and bribery. And the Holy Quran has explained and described such practices in many of its verses.

A Muslim seeking to please God and follow the path of righteousness should be aware of the dangers of deceit and dishonesty. However, equally he should know that God is all Merciful and all Loving, willing to forgive even the gravest sins for those who strive for His sake. Honesty is very important in the life of a believer.

Another dimension of honesty is trustworthiness, or in Arabic, amanah.Trust, and being worthy of another’s trust, is inherent in being one who is submitted to the will of Allah. When Allah appointed Adam (the father of mankind) as successor on earth, it was a trust incumbent upon all of mankind. When allah created us as individuals for worshipping Him, it became a trust incumbent upon us to nourish ourselves and our families in a way that enables worship.

In Islam, every believer is a brother or sister to the other; we are one body, one nation. The right hand must be able to trust the left hand. The commands and rules from God are designed for our benefit and Islam holds people’s rights in high esteem. The systematic arrangement of guidelines and regulations is intended to uphold the rights Islam gives to the believers and to minimise vice and corruption. Islam strongly condemns the violation of God-given rights. When God commands us to keep the trust, to be trustworthy, it is not a matter to be taken lightly.

The Muslim nation should be one unit, one nation. All members of this brotherhood should be able to stand before God knowing that he is safe and secure in the company of one who is trustworthy. From the lowliest peasant to the mightiest king all are equal, the only thing that makes one member of the unit better than the other is his piety or righteousness. Amongst the many qualities that blend together to make righteousness, is trustworthiness and honesty.

Allah knows ....

As Salaamu Alkium Sisters,

Allah knows and sees everything – he knows the outcomes good or bad. Nothing happens in this world that Allah does not know, that Allah has not permitted.Even things considered “evil” are not outside Allah’s realm – it’s thought the evils that happen now will eventually result in human good man cannot understand.

But, although God knows all, that does not mean there is no free will in Islam. Muslims believe Allah has written down all things in the Preserved Tablet – all that happens or will happen is in there; it’s there now because God exists outside time. So, Allah knows what choices men and women will make, but does not stop them from making them.
And Allah only, has Free Will, He Wills whatever He likes and it will always happen as He wills. We have something called, "Free choice." The difference is that what Allah "Wills" always happens and what we choose may or may not happen. We are not being judged on the outcome of things, we are being judged on our choices. This means that at the core of everything will always be our intentions. Whatever we intended, is what we will have the reward for. Each person will be judged according to what Allah gave them to work with, how they used it and what they intended to do with it.

As regards the actual "Judgment Day" - Allah tells us that everything we are doing is being recorded and not a single tiny thing escapes from this record. Even an atom's weight of good will be seen on the Day of Judgment and even a single atom's weight of evil will be seen too .
The one who will bring the evidences against us will be ourselves. Our ears, tongue, eyes and all of our bodies will begin to testify against us in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment. None will be oppressed on that Day, none will be falsely accused.

He could have put everyone in their respective places from the very beginning, but the people would complain as to why they were thrown in Hell without being given a chance. This life is exactly that; a chance to prove to ourselves who we really are and what we would really do if we indeed had a free choice.

Allah Knows everything that will happen, but we don't. That is why the test is fair.

Quite often, when Muslims refer to the future they preface what we say with the phrase “Insha’Allah” or “god willing”. It’s an acknowledgment that humans do not know what’s coming – we can only hope for certain outcomes but, in the end, it all rests in God’s hands.

So what ever lies in the heaven and earth every star in this whole universe allah knows...

IM A Proud hijabi !

Using Hijab is one of the best ways by which Muslim women can cover their body. According to Islamic teachings, Muslim women should always cover their body in order to avoid men attraction towards them. There are many Hadiths that shows the importance of Proper Muslim Clothing. According to a Hadith, Allah (The most merciful) do not accept the prayers of Muslim women who don't cover their body properly. This Hadith proves the fact that Muslim women should follow the Islamic teachings by wearing proper cloths and covering their body as well. Muslim women all around the world use Hajibs to cover neck and hair.

Women with open hair are very attractive to men and this is against the Islamic purpose. Aisha was the favorite wife of Prophet (sallallahu` alaihi wa sallaam). She used to say that Muslim Women should always draw their veils to over their necks and breast. For a good Muslim, following the Islamic teachings is the most important thing to do. Islam has clearly defined the proper way of covering body for both men and women. Hijabs are very effective in covering women hair and neck. If you have decided, to start wearing a Hijab (Which is a great decision) then you dont even have to go out to the market in order to buy one because there are some great sites on the internet that offers wonderful services.

while you waer khimar there are things you need to do to keep modest such as

(not to shout) when talking -

And do not treat people with contempt - (31:18)

In a gathering one should sit in a way to make room for others and when (gathering is finished) one should move away.

When entering any one's house, one must take permission

If you want to take anything from others, you must ask for it from inside

those are just a few.

sometimes i ask myself why do i wear hijab ?

When I cover myself, I make it virtually impossible for people to judge me according to the way I look. I cannot be categorized because of my attractiveness or lack thereof. i feel safe from all the hate in american and i know allah is watching me.There is a barrier between me and those who would exploit me. I am first and foremost a human being, equal to any man, and not vulnerable because of my sexuality.

Compare this to life in today’s society: We are constantly sizing one another up on the basis of our clothing, jewelry, hair and makeup. What kind of depth can there be in a world like this? Yes, I have a bodyBut it is the vessel of an intelligent mind and a strong spirit.

One of the saddest truths of our time is the question of the beauty myth and female self-image. Reading popular teenage magazines, you can instantly find out what kind of body image is “in” or “out.” and if you have the “wrong” body type, well, then, you’re just going to have to change it, aren’t you? After all, there is no way that you can be overweight and still be beautiful.Look at any advertisement. Is a woman being used to sell the product? How old is she? How attractive is she? What is she wearing? More often than not, that woman will be no older than her early 20s, taller, slimmer and more attractive than average, dressed in skimpy clothing. Why do we allow ourselves to be manipulated like this?

My body is my own business. Nobody can tell me how I should look or whether or not I am beautiful. I know that there is more to me than that. I am also able to say “no” comfortably then people ask me if I feel as though my sexuality is being repressed. I have taken control of my sexuality. I am thankful I will never have to suffer the fate of trying to lose/gain weight or trying to find the exact lipstick shade that will go with my skin color. I have made choices about what my priorities are and these are not among them.

so sisters before you go to bed tonight ask yourself why do i wear hijab ? and come back and tell me i would love to hear why you wear hijab ?

How to Make Your Own dhikr beads

As salaamu alaikum sisters,
here is a cool idea ! how to make dhikr beads for who use them.
Things You'll Need:

•100 beads

•Strong string or nylon line
HOW TO :

Make or purchase 100 beads. Some believe the best selection of prayer beads can be found on the Internet or in stores such as ac moore. Historically, date seeds were most often used to make prayer beads, but you may make yours from any type of material you wish as long as you create 100 of them.

Step 2
Choose a material for the cord onto which your beads will be strung. Leather, gold yarn and silk have been popular choices for Islamic prayer bracelets, but yours will be no less perfect if you select plastic, sturdy cord, twine or rope. Just be certain the stringing material you choose can be threaded through the holes in the beads.

Step 3
Sit quietly and contemplate the blessings of Allah as you begin to thread beads onto the string. Saying prayers while making a religious object like an Islamic bracelet is a sacred duty and must be performed while you craft.

Step4 Once you have counted to 33 beads, either make a knot or add a specially shaped or distinct bead to the string to end section one. The first section of the bracelet is usually referred to as "SubhanAllah."

Step 5
Continue as you add a second group of 33 more beads to the string to complete the "Hamdullah" section. As in Step 3, feed a distinct bead onto the string or create a knot to keep it separate from the first and third sections.

Step 6
Add the final 33 beads to the bracelet as you close the 99-bead circle with the addition of the final group of beads known as "Allahuakbar."

Step7
Place the third and final distinct bead (or simply a knot), and then add the 100th bead

Step 8
Tie the 100-bead bracelet together but don't cut the cord or string holding the bracelet together. Instead, allow the cords or strings to dangle freely. According to Islamic belief, evil spirits are fearful of things that "dangle" so stay with tradition and, if the spirit moves you, add two beads or tassels on the ends as decorations.

Step9

Enjoy owning your handmade Islamic bracelet and remember it symbolizes the 99 names of Allah ---particularly when you invoke the name Allah when you touch the 100th bead to complete the circle of faith.
